We’ve Been Quietly Changing A-Kem. Here’s Why.

Over the last while, you may have noticed a few changes at A-Kem.

New bottles. New labels. Cleaner colours. A simpler website. A more organised range.

But this has not been a relaunch.

It has been a reset.

We have been quietly working in the background to make A-Kem easier to understand, easier to shop, and easier to use. Not because we wanted to make a bit of noise, but because car care has become too complicated in too many places.

And we think it should be simpler.

Car Care Should Not Feel Complicated

Good car care does not need to be confusing.

You should not need ten products that all appear to do the same thing. You should not need to decode endless buzzwords. And you definitely should not need to spend half an evening trying to work out whether a product belongs before the wash, during the wash, after the wash, or somewhere in between.

That is what we wanted to fix.

The aim was simple: make it easier for customers to choose the right products and build a proper wash routine without the unnecessary fuss.

So we looked at the full A-Kem range and asked one question:

Does this make things clearer for the customer?

If the answer was no, we changed it.

One of the biggest changes is how we now organise our products.

The A-Kem range is built around four clear pillars:

Pre-Wash  
For removing heavy dirt, traffic film, road salt, and grime before you touch the paint.

Wash  
For the contact wash stage, where a good shampoo and safe wash method matter.

Protect  
For adding gloss, slickness, water behaviour, and longer-lasting protection.

Interior & Glass  
For cleaning and maintaining the parts of the car you sit in, touch, and see through every day.

These pillars are not just website categories. They follow the real order of cleaning a car.

That means every product has a clearer purpose, every stage makes more sense, and customers can build a routine without feeling like they are guessing their way through it.

New Bottles and Labels With a Proper Purpose

The new bottles and labels are part of the same thinking.

Yes, they look cleaner. Yes, the range now feels more consistent. But the change was never just about appearance.

The new label system is designed to help.

Each pillar now has its own visual identity, making it easier to understand where each product fits in the process. Whether you are picking up a pre-wash, shampoo, protection product, or interior cleaner, the range should now feel more connected and easier to follow.

Because good branding should not just look nice.

It should help.

Core, Hero and Ultimate: Simpler Wash Systems

We have also simplified our wash systems.

Not every customer needs the same kit. Some people want the essentials. Some want a more complete routine. Others want the full process, including deeper cleaning, decontamination, and protection.

So instead of making things complicated, we have created three clear systems:

Core  
The essential A-Kem wash system. Built for customers who want the key products needed to clean their car properly.

Hero  
A more complete system for customers who want to step things up and add more performance to their routine.

Ultimate  
The full system for customers who want the most complete A-Kem process, including deeper cleaning and longer-lasting protection.

No guesswork. No overcomplicated bundles. No pretending everyone needs everything.

Just three clear choices based on what you actually want from your car care routine.

Less Noise. More Sense.

A lot of modern car care has become unnecessarily complicated.

Too many products. Too many overlapping claims. Too many names that sound impressive but do not make the choice any easier.

We want A-Kem to move in the opposite direction.

Our products still need to perform. That part will never change. But performance should not be hidden behind confusion.

That is why we have been tidying everything up.

Clearer product categories. Cleaner labels. Better website structure. Smarter kits. Simpler choices.

All of it is there to make A-Kem easier to shop, easier to use, and easier to trust.

Still the Same A-Kem

The heart of A-Kem has not changed.

We are still an independent brand. Still hands-on. Still focused on proper car cleaning products that work in the real world.

What has changed is how clearly we present everything.

We have taken the range, sharpened it, simplified it, and built a better system around it.

And that is what this next stage of A-Kem is all about.
